My co-workers have told me that there's this divorced woman (early 40's, but looks YOUNGER), at the office, who seems to find me attractive.

This statement has also been claimed by the woman's closest female friend.

The problem is: She's OLDER than I am, but looks good.

First, when I used to see her, she used to act like there was nothing going on and greeted me as if she HAD to.

Then, everything changed. She was much MORE friendly, but now I had started to act TOTALLY CARELESS towards her.

NOW: I like her and I have started to think a lot on her, but I just pretend I don’t care about, though curiousity is killing me!

HOWEVER, on Friday I gave her my e-mail address (through a friend and NOT in person), so she would write me. Plus, I wrote her an email, which she hasn't replied, yet.

Also, she saw me today and didn't even say a word to me.

I think I like her, but just don't know how to approach her and, even, to ask her out

So you passed on your email address through another person? Gee Beav, you didn't come on too strong, did you?

That's probably why she's not talking to you....you may just as well have sent her a "check this box" note. This is probably also a good indicator that you don't need to pursue someone 20 years your senior, just because you got wind that she thinks you're cute.

Hmmm. Older woman syndrome. I can relate. So, you used to see her? So, there shouldn't be a rejection problem then, right? What do you mean CARELESS? Mean? Rude? Stupid? I'm sure if you show her some respect now and start saying little things like, "how are you today?", "you look nice", maybe things will turn in your favor. Maybe it won't be as bad as you think. Good luck.

She might like the attention and is flattered if you're attracted to her. A woman in her 40's has a very different aspect on life and much more experience than a male in his 20's.
