Money can buy a lot of material things that we need but when it comes down to it if you don't have friends and family and people that you love to share it with then it cant buy happiness because it would just be a lonely person in an beautiful house and with everything they need but most likely they cant be happy if there sitting there alone...i don't think money can buy you love either because how could you be sure if it was fake or real love... a lot of people are in relationships just because there partner has money and usually that person who has money doesn't even know that there being used until one day they leave them for no reason or all of a sudden and then he or she realizes maybe they didn't really love me... so i think people with a lot of money have to be careful.

Money is power, Cat. And power is money; they're twins; on the physical and the metaphysical realms. Everyone digs power, and money or power don't care who owns it, they just are; right there for the picking if You want it. That's the rub eh, even if someone gives it to You; either one or both; You still have to reach out and take it; some Folks just can't do that. shadows are chasing them, they don't feel entitled; whatever. It doesn't have a whole lot to do with believing or not believing in a Deity, no my Friend; not much about that at all.

Reality is the thing that doesn't go away when you stop believing in it.
Now: try to acquire food by telling people that money is an illusion. Let me know how that turns out.

Ok money can't buy happiness, but it can buy food and shelter, which are things a human being needs to live. So atheists don't BELIEVE in money, they use money..........to buy things, just like everyone else. If you are wondering what atheists believe is a source of happiness, they believe in themselves, and in being proactive about their happiness rather than leaving it up to supernatural mumbo jumbo.

To answer your question in a strict, technical sense, I would say that Atheists don't believe in money. To believe in something is to assert that it exists without empirical evidence of its existence, and we have plenty of empirical evidence that money exists. So, while atheists will acknowledge the existence of money as readily as anyone else (only a fool would not), they don't BELIEVE in it.

Because we can show that money has weight, density and substance. Money can be felt, seen, smelled, and, if you felt inclined to do so...tasted. You can show money to another person and they will see the same thing you do. Money can be duplicated...although the government strong disapproves of you doing this yourself.

We all have to have money don't we. The religious organizations are some of the richest in the world. Look at the catholic church, hardly poverty stricken.
