im on the same page as you and i couldnt live with ou my diffuser when i wear my hair curly. the trick is to NOT touch your hair while its drying. shaping it is fine but do most of it before diffusing. also it is imperative to use a great curl activating creme AND smoothing serum to keep the frizzies calm. stop diffusing when your hair is about 75% dry, then let it air dry the rest of the way. before stepping out mist a fine light hair spray (or use a creme gently) for definition.
its all abou doing it the right way, and it takes getting used to, but when you got it its a quick process youll be able to pull off in no time.

Basically they cradle the hair to keep the curls as curly as possible.
I use 1 on my hair, I put a small amount of hair in to the diffuser and cup the hair in it to the head. Some times it helps to put mouse in the hair to hold the curls.

Whatever you use, try adding a styling prodcut like Mixed Chicks leave-in on wet hair right before you diffuse. Good luck.

THE DIFFUSER IS SOFTER AIR. IT DOESN'T BLOW YOUR HAIR EVERYWHERE. TRY TO PUT A SOCK ON THE END OF YOUR DRYER AND BLOW YOUR HAIR DRY. THAT WILL TELL YOU IF A DIFFUSER IS FOR YOU.
ARE YOU PUTTING ANY DEFRIZZING PRODUCTS ON YOUR HAIR BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING TO IT? THEY DO HELP A LOT.

a diffuser spreads the air out so it doesnt blow ur hair into a frizz...use a little gel or mousse and defuse it and you will see a big difference

just poofs it up. trust me. ever see the new phantom of the opera? i have christine type hair. hair gel, blow dry first then flat iron. lengthy process, but it's the only thing that works.
frizz ease is awesome too.

they send the heat at your hair without the "blow". it takes a bit longer to dry, but since your hair isn't blowing all over it doesn't separate and frizz. blowdryers are for straight hair. i prefer to air dry, myself, but in the winter it's kind of bad.
