You've got it! God created us to worship him and love him. We can not love him unless we have free will, or determinism in the sense that only God knows what will happen (philosophy). If God created us to be a certain way, we would all be robots in his eyes, hence, not able to love, only controlled and programmed to love. But, because we are free to choose and do as we please, God allows us to decide whether we would like Him, or rebellion.

Agreed. From a point of duality that makes sense. By the way your suggestion supports re-incarnation (which of coz is true). Eg. A person is born blind or lame bcos of his own actions in his / her previous life. It also suggests that life is a process of evolution and not a one-chance with eternal salvation/damnation at heaven/hell.
From God's perspective, however all is fine with the world and there is nothing wrong with it. everything is going as per his direction and it has not deviated a dot from his direction.
Good and Bad, happiness and sadness, light and darkness are all below God. So only we expereince it. rise up to God state and all is perfect.
The world is like a movie. God is the white screen on which the characters come and play their part. The happenings on the movie do not tarnish the screen. The movie ends and the screen is still white.

Well, maybe God didn't create people - or human beings. There is still an assumption there, whether you call it people or human beings. Interestingly, there is a line in the old testament that says, "God is no respecter of persons". Hmmm. Actually, the question in question is a reasonable one. Why would God create people, especially if he has no respect for them? I like it and it's worth considering. But, if this is one of those questions that people ask just because they are looking for others to agree with them, that is pretty disrepectable.

I think you hit the nail on the head.
One more thing...
If there are 100 steps separating me from God; God will take 99 of them. I must take the last one. He pursues us all for relationship. :o)
Perfection? No evil? That's only in Heaven. Here on earth, we live in a "natural" world. It is a fallen world. Things will get worse before they get better.
God doesn't destroy evil because it would take away from our free will. Without free will, we would be good little robots. He pursues us for relationship because He wants us to love Him; not because we have too...but because we want too. That's what a relationship is all about. That's why we have free will.

What makes you so sure we screwed anything up?
What if everything is going exactly the way God intended it to go?
Are you trying to say that God made a mistake when He created us?
Sounds like you are.
Love and blessings Don

Even if God did create us, everything weren't perfect! Being perfect there would have been no chance for us to commit any sins. There should be no serpent and we can't screw anything up. That is perfect.

He created us imperfectly. We were never suppode to be pefect and we can never be. God can never screw up cause He's God, creator of all creations. And when ppl ask why god created ppl like this or that, its probably to test us. Infact they shud really think about why god created Them.

Well you're halfway there.
God made man, god said "one rule, no touchy da apple"
Man touches apple within like a week. God says "Ok, get out. go and multiply but you'd better keep listening to me!"
Man procreates and keeps eating those apples! Who is at fault? GOD! He made us!
If my robot screwed up my one rule, I would start over, not let him recreate himself and continue eating apples.
BTW, I love how one poster says "we were perfect" and 2 answers later is "we were imperfect" you guys better get your stories straight before u try to convince an atheist. lol!
