Well why don't you ask the 18000 men and women that have joined just the Army in the last year under the Bush Admin its a all volunteer military all branchs anymore they must seem more apt to join than you so you can sit back and have the freedom to write what you want on here I was military for 26 years and also joined to defend my country I guess some of us just have the guts to do it and some don't But it always seems to be that the ones that don't seem to complain the most

I would in a heart beat.

I'm defending my country, my lifestyle, my freedom, and my liberties. Not my president.

I am however a Girlfriend, Sister, Best Friend, Niece, daughter and Granddaughter to a solider in the Army or Navy.

Folks the only way a person would join is because they cannot get
a job elsewhere to support there family.
When they get out they cannot find a job. Unless they like to flip
burgers or run security at airports checking out ladies bags.
Ask? yourself a question, would you Die for Bush - Cheney.
Do the commanders give you a constitution and a bill of rights
when you goto war or a bumper sticker red, white and blue with
Bush-Cheney, by the way the constitution died today. Bush put
the final nail in it with the military combatants bill, along with the
Patriot act you now have no legal rights.

Pretty soon I don't think there will be an Army to join or a country to defend. George is gonna push the button and send us back to the 1800's. How's your pioneer skills? Stocked up on dry goods? Know how to salt beef?

Well, either way you have to pick a side on this one. Theres no middle ground left anymore. When we started this, there was still a grey zone. Now, however, the battle lines have been drawn and its become a question of "are you in or out". I think its too narrow a cope. I dont like Bush and wouldnt die for him, but I would die for my family. I dont want to go to war, but I dont want anyone dying for me. Its a catch 22, danged if you do, danged if you dont.

It should not have anything to do with who is leading our country, it should be an honor to defend your country, They may be alot of soldiers fighting for you, that don't approve of the President, but they love our country.

If you are not ready to defend your own way of life and protect your freedoms - then you don't deserve to have those freedoms.

It has nothing to do with who is President.

It has everything to do with the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and your love and respect for your own country.
