I asked Jesus to come into my heart, forgive me of my sins, and take me to Heaven when I die. Isn't God wonderful! =]

The word of God promises that if you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is the Son of God (and obviously it is the faith that saves because some can't speak vocally) that we will be saved. It is only faith in that truth and accepting it that is a requirement. (Baptism doesn't save.) Evidence of salvation doesn't always mean instant changes. Some still keep to their old ways for a while but when they do sin the difference now is that there is a sense of conviction and soon after they have felt the feeling that they shouldn't be doing whatever it is that they are doing, they begin to allow God to change them and they turn from their sinful ways. It is a work in progress. So how do you know? First, it is a promise and secondly, by conviction.

Joh 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Num 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

I believe all the above and God said it and I believe it the end.

"...and I love that old cross, where the dearest and best, for a world of lost sinners was slain." I don't worship the cross but the man who gave himself upon it. That is precious to me. It was there I was bought with a price and forgiven.

St. Paul said He preached nothing but Christ and Him crucified. He went on to say that such preaching is foolishness to those who perish. All I can say tonight is that the blood shed on that cross was shed for me. I don't really know why or how; but He became my salvation and is more real to me than life itself.

I don't think I am.

But... I don't care, and never will.

This is mostly because I don't believe in much of anything presented in the branches of Christianity. Perhaps just a few of the original, underlying ideals, no more.

So, there's my response. Probably not what you hope for, but it's not changin'.

Good luck anyway. Y'all are entitled to think whatever you want, and I don't care until you start hurtin' me.

because I have changed!!!..the things I use to do I loathe. I have a new heart and a new spirit and can feel it. I walk in the spirit and not in the flesh and I continue to grow and change from Glory to Glory
