I like him but does he like me back?

Question

Okay, plain and simple, I like this guy I've known for a year and we really got along well in 8th grade cause we sat next to eachother in class. Well, now my secret that I liked him sort of "escaped" and he found out. Now he stares at me from across the lunch room whenever he is alone and he smiled at me the other day and said hey, blushing as he walked by. He is a shy type. Last year he woul always want to study with me and look at my stuff whenever I wasn't looking. Does he like me?

He definitly might....I would not ask him plain and simple (if he is shy, he might be to shy to tell you he likes you and say he doesn't). Why don't you ask him if he would like to go out with you AND a group of friends. See what happens then. Sometimes it is hard to say. When a guy stays away, sometimes it means he likes you. If a guy stays closer to you then normal, it sometimes means he likes you. It really all depends. But almost 100% of the time, you can almost feel a "vibe" so to speak. You know what I mean? But here are some commen signs for shy guys:

Blushing (like you said :-) )
Running away when he sees you (although smiling)
Staying more then 20 feet away although looking at you
Makeing eye contact but immediatly looking down and smileing


If you have all of those checked off he REALLY does like you but is afraid now. Then I would just plain and simple ask him. If he is more of the phone type, then call him instead. He might feel more comfortable telling you on the phone instead. At least I would feel more comfortable telling a guy.

Anyways.....all else fails.....go with your gut.

You pretty much indicated many clues to his interest in you. A person who does not reciprocate the feeling when aware of the other person's feelings exhibit behaviors of disinterest, discomfort (around the individual), and avoidance. If he's blushing, staring at you, and wanting to study with you are good cues. The next step is for one of you to acknowledge and confess one of your feelings for the other and move on to the next level. This may be the beginning of a beautiful relationship. Good luck!

if he's the shy type i say yes, and you should make the first move because if you don't someone else will take that chance and you will regret not taking the chance when you had it.

i had problems like u before with girls for sure.

u will never get him/her if u keep shut.

go and try your luck.....dont be to aggresive but once in a while go and have a chat with him.

if he likes u then he will make his move.

Yeah he likes you, but obviously he doesn't want to tell you yet. You should take the initiative and ask him if he likes you.
