I have never met him, he doesn't know that I exist, and I'm not quite sure who he is, but I have a name, and I'd like to get a paternity test for confirmation.

I don't know where my father is either. People have found me through Reunion. com but that is only via email. You have to pay a fee to conduct a search. Another option is to hire a private investigator but they are very expensive.

Depending on your age, you may not have a right to request a paternity test. If you are over 18 and you really want to do this start with your birth certificate. It should list his birth town. His birth certificate will list his parents name and go from there.

If you know any possibility as to where, go online and place an ad in the newspapers of where he might be. Or write a letter to the Editors, about this desire of yours. He might read it or them.

I could have written this question! I have just a name too ,I only found out about him a month ago ,I always thought some other dead guy was my dad!good luck!!

I also do not know my father...he doesnt know i exist...my birth mom gave me away with out even telling him. I only know his name and where he was 43 years ago....

look for his photo or type his name on the internet.Even call the police station they could really help.
