There are a number of reasons for a stroke. If you have atrial fibrillation ( a heart condition) and form a blood clot in the fibrillating atrial chanber which breaks loose it can cause a stroke. If you have arterial disease in the carotid artery (in your neck), it can cause clumps of platelets to form and if they break loose they can cause a stroke. If you have small arterial disease in or on the surface of the brain it can rupture(aneurysm) or clot and cause a stroke. You could also have arteritis (an inflammation of the artery which could lead to clotting and stroke (as in temporal arteritis or other autoimmune diseases).
So the answer really is that it is more a disease of the vascular system.

a stroke happens in the brain. It can either be caused by an aneurysm, which happens when the blood vessel swells and bursts leaving a lack of blood flow to part of the brain. Or it can happen from an embolism, which is when a blood clot travels up and gets caught in an artery in your brain. Blockages in your heart are myocardial infarcts, or heart attack...

I would consider it as both. If the brain tells the heart to pump the blood in your body,it only seems natural if the heart stops, the brain would not get what it would need to survive. So you could say they work as a team to make the body work as one.

The brain that is why some recover and some don't. Some may only have use of one side of their body which is controlled by the brain also their speech can be affected which is also controlled by the brain....Our brain runs our body and when damaged there are parts that may not recover.

It is a condition of the brain. The two are related conditions because they are caused by blood clots and hardening of the arteries.

Brain but it is all contained in your circulatory system.
So the correct answer would be circulatory, since the veins are either blocked or rupture.
