Upon applying (self),the worker informed me that i had other people listed in my household and they were approved..I have no knowledge of the people! I was told they would be removed from the list..but the person stated they were my boyfriend and had just gotten out of PRISON so had no resources.. I want to follow up on this..and not sure how. It seems to me that this would be a case of FRAUD and the penalty should be deeper than being removed.

You can ask your worker for the welfare fraud hotline. In every public social services building there is one. You can also tell your worker and they should be able to file a report on it.

True it sounds like a case of fraud, and the punishment should be stern... its people like that whom have caused our welfare system to go into the dump.

Maybe talk to the police??

Good luck.

ask the foodstamp place to investigate this case of fraud or at least ask them who you can contact to report this fraud yourself. Good luck

You don't follow up, it is not your worrry, you merely report the truth and the system will follow up if needed.

And seldom do they prosecute unless it is more serious than merely lying

Not saying they shouldn't, but just saying what happens
