My fiance and I are getting married early 2007 and have decided on pink & blue for our colors. Most people say WTF? Why pink & blue? Pink & Blue have extreme significance in our relationship, so that's why we chose those colors. What we are trying to figure out is how difficult is it going to be to pull off a pink & blue wedding? For the blue we are talking Navy Blue and just a soft pink color. Does anyone know of anywhere online with flowers in both of those colors? Do you know anyone that has ever used these colors?

I have never heard of it.
You will have to be careful with your decorations so they don't look like a baby shower.
GOOD LUCK!

Alot will depend on whether you want silk flowers or real ones. Silks come in so many colors you can't imagine. Just google "Navy Blue Silk Roses" or daisies or lillies or whatever flowers you want. I was in a wedding this summer where the bridesmaids were in navy gowns. The bride ordered pale pink real flowers for all our bouquets. (Sounds weird, but it looked good...email me and I can email you a link to her wedding pictures.) If you like the idea of the silks, you could also check out Hobby Lobby. I personally think they have the best selection. OR check and see if there's any place near you that sells alot of those silk arrangements for cemetery headstones...sounds kinda morbid, I know, but I found a place down in Alabama that sold them. They also carried the flowering bushes. A bit more pricey than Hobby Lobby or Walmart, but it was the only place I was able to find silk peace roses. (yellow with pink on the edge).

I used pink and blue as my wedding colors. Our favorite time of day is when the sky is darkening but a deep blue and the sun has made the clouds a deep pink color. We called it "Sky Blue Pink". Bridesmaids wore deep blue dresses that went silver when the light hit them. Carried arm bouquests of stargazer lilies and blue corn flowers tied with blue and pink ribbons. Alstromeria was on tables at reception. 16 years ago and still together (and first child is only 14, so no shotgun either!)

I think pink and blue will work wonderfully for you - what about using a mixed bouquet with both pink and blue flowers - perhaps with an accent colour like the natural beauty bouquet on the page linked to that includes berries. The bouquet is accessorised with pink ribbon. The colours look fresh and natural.

I'm using a lighter almost periwinkle blue and a peachy/pink color for my wedding. It's a summer wedding and there will be lots of peaches and we like blue so that's how I chose my colors. You can make anything work in a wedding. And often people can't see your vision until that day and they see how great it all looks together!

I think navy and pale pink will be beautiful. Try looking at idobouquets.com for flower pics and check out www.customweddingsolutions.com for accessories and essentils.
Good Luck. It sounds great to me! Especially if the colors hav meaning to you as a couple.

Navy suits & pink ties for the men ; or pink shirts & navy ties & navy dresses for the ladies with pink flowers ;
also maybe a small pink bag for them to carry
Or if you found a nice fabric in blues/pinks that could be used in a top with a Navy skirt
pale pink outifts for the ladies with Navy accents ; jewellery; hand bag;belt; shoes ; navy shawl
I should imagine you may have trouble getting navy flowers ; how about a navy fan ( you may have to paint it) with some pink flowers/ribbons attached or even feathers
use your imagination to blend the 2 colours - they should look MAGNIFICENT together
feel free to e-mail me
CONGRATULATIONS & GOOD LUCK

I would say it's your wedding, so who cares what everyone else thinks?! It's not right of them to make you feel like you should justify why you have chosen the colors you have.
As far as checking online, I would check ebay. You can find everything on there.
Best of luck to you and your future hubby!
