Simplest solution is always the best. Let him know you like him, remember we only have 1 life to live as we know it, don't let chances pass you by.
the worst thing he can do is say, sorry not interested. sorry just friends. You'll bounce back right away.
Because what's worse, him going out w/ someone else and you wishing "what could have been" or at least knowing hey i tried and it didn't happen but at least ya know. Always better.. no regrets! *hope this helps*

im sorry to say but you just have to wait until he doesnt like that person anymore! Just be nice and maybe he will see the light and begin to have a crush on you.! I hate it when girls try to make me not like a certain girl anymore by telling me all this trashy stuff about the girl i like.!!!!<- its a turn off!

ask him up front, well not like out of the blue, but in casual conversation, heres one that got an answer out of me, "wow, your like the only peron I know who doesnt like someone else!" that would work, even if it means you have to drop a name or two on the way

I started talking to her in the phone then started to talk to her in person later on , Then turned out she thought I was cute !

then just try harder to get closer to him
