I use about 10 packets of Splenda almost every day, for teas, and coffees throughout.

I am trying to lose weight, and stay away from sugar (I don't consume any sweets at all) so using Splenda seems like a good idea.

Should I start using sugar instead? Are the negatives of Splenda really even that bad?

ADVICE! Thanks!

Try stevia. It is a no calorie sweetener made of a natural herb.

Any artificial sweetener (including Splenda, don't buy those made from real sugar ads) are made from chemicals and when you use this you are still putting chemicals into your body which puts you at risk of cancer and other diseases.

Stevia is a natural, herbal, no calorie sweetener which you can get in health food stores.

i'd be most worried about consuming so much of one product like that, every day and especially since the long term effects aren't known. No one knows what will happen to a person who uses splenda in 20 years...

All artifical sweetners are bad for you. Here is a website that will help you with any sweetner that you want to look up.
