I guess I am just going to do this for the 2 points. My answer is awful. Most people over cook cauliflower, and in salads its bland, flavorless, and crunchy, so to me its like eating hard poi. Do you know what poi tastes like? If I were going to eat cauliflower, the best option in my mind is to smother it in my own homemade salad dressing, that is like a creamy Italian, or ranch to hide the rock taste of it. Sorry its hard to be informative about cauliflower. Yuck!
PS Cauliflower tastes NOTHING like broccoli, it just looks like it in a way, broccoli has a distinct flavor which is wonderful with either olive oil, and butter.

Very mild, if served steamed. It also makes a great substitute for mashed potatoes if you are on a diet. I believe Weight Watchers has the recipe to make "Mashed Potatoes" with cauliflower.

If I was eating cauliflower raw, I would describe it as a taste similar to cabbage with a more crunch.
