THere is a part of the chicken breast that is called the "tender". YOu can actually go to the supermarket and they sell just the "tenders".

Sharp Marble has the right answer. The tender comes from the underside of the breast, close to the ribcage. I do believe as she said that they do sell this as a seperate item at the grocery store. Why do they sell it seperate? Because when you clean chicken (meaning remove from the bone), the kind of hangs off the breast. It looks nicer to tear this little peice off and sell a nice and plump breast with nothing hanging off of it. Unfortunately this is also the most tender part of the breast.

Hi Jen--Sharp Marble gave the best answer, (thumbs up), yes, you can get "chicken tenders" packaged. If you wanted to make your own, get boned, skinned chicken breast & slice thin. But it's a mess to do this, & your knife has to be VERY SHARP! A shame you had to add "I know it's chicken" because there are brain dead newts out there who will give you idiot answers, like NY rats I believe? Yikes.

The only part of the chicken you can use to make real tenders is breast and nothing else !

Buy skinless, boneless chicken breast. When you separate the two halves of the cutlet, the skinny piece that doesn't belong to either side is the tender.

I just had some of those things the other day.
It occured to me that they are like fishsticks....only made with chicken.
fishsticks are made of mulched fish.

What about lamb? After that you start going into the more exotic range - rabbit or hare, venison, bison, wild boar. It all depends on where you live and what is available.
