I'm a cheerleader, and as u know, we have to wear our hair up in a ponytail. Well i was wondering if there was any cute way to put it up in stead of just pulling it up. Also, straight or curly?

It's kinda hard to explain, but put your hair up in a regular pony tail, on the back of your head. Then take the end of your pony tail and stick it into the middle (right above your pony tail holder) and pull it through. It makes a different, but cute pony tail. After that you can curl it or leave it straight. Also, you might try looking in Claire's for pony tail styling aides, but I can't remember the name of the product. You should also ask your hair stylist about pony do's.

I saw a magazine article recently on the new ponytail. The model had her medium length hair pulled to one side, down low on the neck not up high and loosely gathered into a ponytail. the bangs and layers around the face were out of the pony and touseled around the face. This looked romantic and totally modern.

My fave ponytail to wear it to take the front of my hair (the hair you would use for a half ponytail) and separate it into 3 sections (top, left right). French braid EACH section separately and tie off at the ends. Then pull the 3 pieces as well as the rest of the hair into a ponytail. After it is secure - take off the bands at the ends of the 3 sections and brush out. Flat iron the ponytail itself it you like. :)

It's nice to get a piece of hair and wrap that around the pony tail for a different look.
Also, try a messy pony tail - grab the hair altogethor without a brush for a casual look.

Get a tool called a Topsy Tail to make a double pony tail. Or, do a zig-zag part. Or pull all your hair to one side and put it up that way. I prefer curly hair which is good because that's what I have!

spiral curl your hair,and instead of using a scrunchy or rubber band, use a ribbon band(rubber band with ribbons sticking out evry where) in your team colors!

If it's long enough, twist it around around and hold it in place with a butterfly clip.
