Okay, I'm going to assume you're not talking about some crush on an upperclassmen. If that's what this is, get over it and get the homework help.

Based on what you said about having problems because she's an upperclassmen and you don't want to waste her time.... Um, she's there to help. She goes every day knowing that she has the opportunity to help underclassmen. Unless I'm just totally misunderstanding you, that's the sole reason she's in that room at that time: to help people who are having trouble with a class.

Therefore, you are not wasting her time if you ask for help. You are wasting her time if you don't ask for her help. Think about it, she's there to help you (or anyone else), but if you can't get the guts up to let her know you need help, you're still having problems and she's up there not doing what she goes there to do in the first place.

There's a three-year age gap we're talking about. And you know, the only time in my life where three years meant much of anything was before I was five, and when I was a freshman terrified by the seniors.

They don't walk around with orbs of light or something shining around them. They don't have magical auras. They get up, go to the bathroom, take a shower, go to school, and live their high school lives, much like you do, only they've been at it for three years longer.

Long story short: ask for help. That's why she's there. You won't be "wasting her time".

Promise. :-)

It seems that you are nervous on a regular anyway, so first of all count to ten!! Jeez! To answer your question: I suggest tell the teach you're not making any progress and request a boy if the teacher can't make it happen, trade tutors with someone in your class.

Just go ahead and ask her...I'm sure she's getting some type of credit for this...Make her earn it.
