I just got stung by a bee on my school field trip to a canyon. What are the things that I should do to take care of it ?

Unless you're allergic to bees (and you'd know if you were by now because you'd have hives and trouble breathing), it's not really going to be a problem. You should take the stinger out if it's still stuck in your skin; remember to scratch it out with the edge of a credit card or something instead of using tweezers, because the latter option might squeeze more venom into you. But if the stinger's out, just let it sit. You'll be perfectly fine. If it's still bothersome, ice it and take some medicine. But I think you're not supposed to take aspirin with it? I don't remember. You'll be ok.

The only thing I can think of is to put ice on it, if you have access to it. That will keep the swelling down. You're not allergic to bees are you?

don't try to pluck the stinger out....

instead scrape it with your finger nail or a plastic card or a charge card/library card/student ID or drivers license.

Then make a paste of baking soda and water.

Apply the paste..and let dry.

ice can reduce the swelling!

Try using Camphophenic (unsure of spelling but pharmacy could be of assistance).
