If this is a boy, then I would worry less. Boys seem to like staying in diapers---but at this age--I would use pullups.
Do not worry it will happen. Sometimes, babies get irritable bowel syndrome or other problems that causes them to regress.
He may need checked out with a doctor.
If u really insist on potty training any baby quick--get some old fashioned diapers or training pants---unlike pullups and the disposable diapers---babies do not want to wear wet -till it dries!!
The baby will even start changing his own clothes to get dry. Good luck!

I only have daughters so I'm not sure about the boys but this worked for me and I also told a mom that had a boy and it worked for her . . . I created the "prize" basket. Everytime my daughters went to the potty, they got to pick something out of the prize baskets. I went to Wal-mart, Kmart, etc. places like that and bought a bunch of party token gifts (plastic scissors, bouncy balls, whistles, sunglasses, bracelets, tiny containers of Play-Dough, smarties, deck of cards, etc.) These party token gifts were the ones that have 4+ item in a package. Unwrapped all of the packages so everything was a small, single gift instead of a package of 4 or more. Everytime my daughters used the potty they would immediately run to the prize basket. Eventually they got to where they didn't bother with the prize basket. Eventually I got to where I would scoop up the previous items they had taken and put them back in the basket lol You could also go to yard sales and pick up Happy Meal toys and stuff. Good luck. I think potty training was the most frustrating part of raising a child!!! lol

my nephew was a solid 3 before i convinced him into using the potty regularly. granted some shrinksmay say i intimated the child but.... he wanted to swim in the pool on vacation. i explained that boys who were three couldn't wear diapers in the pool (we'd already had the "discussion" about pull up NOT bring "big boy pants but diapers - can you pee in them - yes, can you poop in them - yes, theden that's a diaper. took a few times but he was a smart kid and got it). i explainedthe lifegaurd was the pool policeman and that he would know if he peed in the pool with his special sunglasses - they made the pee turn red (yeah that old one) and you know what - it worked! throughout the day i would not let him wear diapers - underware only. there were a couple accidents and when we flew on the plane he wore the pullups but let me tell ya - having the try and change them in the tiny bathroom and then going into the public bathroom where he saw other kids his age.... i had him for 1 week with his folks (where it started) and another 5 days on our own and by the end of it - no more pull ups!
you have to find what works for him and go with it. stick to your guns and, i hate to say this but.... those pull ups are IMO the worst invention for day time potty training - they can't feel the wetness like the training pants and rubber covers!

Good Luck!!!

PS - to practice him "aiming" we used red food coloring in ice cubes and then cheerio's! he really thought it was a game but him aim got much, much better!!!

30 months is sooooo young, especially for a little boy....My grandson will be 4 after the first of the year (his mom is a pediatrician) and he still, given a choice, would rather not take the time to go to the potty. Sometimes when he is wet in his big boy underwear, he mother will say, "You're wet ...don't you want to change your pants/"...his reply is "they are just a little wet and they will dry...I'm busy right now"......absolutely amazing IF a little boy is potty trained at 30 months...don't worry mom

sounds like a stubborn little boy to me. I have one too. He will do it on his own time.
