How do I eliminate duplicates on my external HD?

I have a 300GB external HD. Due to a lot of backups and maybe incompetence, I have a lot of duplication. Because my external HD is almost full, is there a program I can run that would eliminate all the duplication?

No, you must individually delete all and any duplicates yourself.
