I mean, my 12 yr old daughter was in my garage with the door closed, and she was wrapping my fathers day gift. It was supposed to be a surprise but I accidentally saw my gift before she could cover it up, and she started to cry because she really wanted it to be a surprise.....has this ever happened to anyone? if so was acting like I didn't see anything a good reaction for me?

yes keep saying that you didn't see it. let her think that she still has the element of suprise. don't crush her little heart. she tried so hard to get it just right.

its happened, but it doesnt matter when the gift is given its the thought that counts if you love her then dont lie thats never a good option. tell her that accidents happen and you appreciate that a young lady her age is still giving gifts for fathers day because most pre teens think thats a babything it shoes you are being a great dad and shows how much she appreciates you and want you to have a very special fathers day full of surprises.

she knows you saw it, and for you getting a father's day gift means you are a great father. Sit down and talk with her and tell her you really appreciate her taking her time to get you a gift. Tell her you are a lucky person to have a daughter that cares about you so much. Well, I hate my father and she doesn't end of discussion, you are a lucky man.

Yes, and act really surprised when you see it. But wasn't Fathers day a couple months ago?

That's a great reaction! Don't ruin it for her. Make sure to act super surprised & excited about whatever the present is!

Awww. tell her which you probably did no longer see the completed recent. which you will supply her some extra moments to have her wrap the present for you. She desires to do it particular for you. next time knock on the door if her door is closed. tell her you're sorry for walking in on her, which you probably did no longer comprehend what replaced into occurring.

Act like you saw nothing and assure her that you didn't. Tell her that you were looking at something else, thinking about something else, or not paying attention.

yes act really surprised and assure her that you did't see anything. i have done that to my kids several times, but some how i convinced them that i never saw anything, then when i opened it i acted really surprised, they were happy.
