I'm currently using this soap that claims to whiten the skin, from papaya enzyme, which is a very good exfoliator, and it is supposed to exfoliate dead skin.... my question is, how does exfoliating the skin make it lighter? I mean i take a shower everyday and i'm very clean, i dont think i have any dead skin cells? and from exfoliating them how does it make your skin whiter? -MAny people claim that the soap really works!

Exfoliating doesnt whiten your skin, the scratching agent you wash your face with cleans exfoliates it leaving a new layer of skin

A buildup of dead skin can look darker...keeping it exfoliated helps to "brighten" the skin!
