Intentional exercise is the best option along with watching what you eat. Your body burns food for energy. A good analogy is to see your metabolism as a fire. Protein and carbs are the kindling wood and fats are big logs. Kindling wood burns quickly and becomes ash while the log burns much longer and slower. Try aerobic exercises. That would be like fanning the fire and help you burn those calories quicker and more efficiently. Start slow and work you way up. Join a class it provides support and help.

no short cuts really.strict dieting and exercise are the only means.rule out endocrine diseases by meeting doctor.avoid all high calorie foods , the daily calorie should be divided into 4-5 short meals .oils and fats and sugars to minimised . eat lot of vegetables to fill the stmach.vigorous walking / jogging for 45 minutes daily is highly essential

anyway I'll tell my suggestion
1. do not consume tooooooo much of oily items,or it may lead to heart disease,
2 . regular exercise
3 . consume more fruits and liquid intake should be more i.e juices
but not cool drinks.
