The answer is 14 years- (assuming that you haven't started college yet)

4 years college, 4 years medical school

After medical school you apply for an internal medcine residency which is currently three years.

After residency you apply for a cardiology Fellowship which is another three years (may do 4 if want to do extra research)

so 4 +4 + 3 +3 = 14 years so should be 35 -- not that bad

now medicine may change in the next 14 years

will residency take longer ( more info?) or less
( more technological "home training")

Same with cardiology training

No less than twelve years, and that's if you study very hard and are very disciplined.
