well i am white an Unfortunately yes it does and that really is not something that we should be proud of as a country or teach our children..I am truly sorry to you and any others that feel this pain every day..I and many other parents are trying to change this in small ways with our children..I would love to share how I do that with you..Each of my children have had a colored doll since they were born..not as mockery but to show them that its not the color of the skin you love its the person and there is no difference in you or I ..or them and a black ,Hispanic,or whatever race you chose...my children loved their dolls unconditionally before they even realized they were not the same skin tone..we live in rural Maine and there are literally on 2 colored children in our school and I am proud to say that they are 2 of my children's best friends...I hope that one day everyone will be treated equally ..really equally ..not just a few words in our laws that aren't always honored

I know very WELL too. Sad to say this, but it does still exist. :( Well I guess there's no way we can totally eliminate racism from this earth, for as long as there are more than one type of human race. Sigh. I guess all we can do is to be a good man/woman, treat others nicely regardless of their skin tone. Karma does exist, doesn't it? :) Cheers!

Absolutly, on both sides. My own grandfather disowned my cousin because she couldn't have kids so she adopted a black baby. I don't think racism will ever die. By human nature we fear what is different from us. It may get better, but it will never fully cease to exist.

Of course racism still exists. There's a bit of the bigot in all of us.

definitely though it does not seem as prominent as it was back then. sadly that does not always mean that that kind of evil just dies forever.
