I need a few for a Halloween party, but don't want to spend too much, where can I buy them, bulk buy type thing?

I wouldn't steal anything. Around here churches sell pumpkins on most weekends in October and aren't looking for a profit since the proceeds go to the church, and the pumpkins are donated by farmers. Not sure if this is an option where you are, but most places at least have a pumpkin patch or two. I would stay away from Wal-mart and the like personally.

It all depends where you live. The supermarkets back east here in Connecticut are full of pumpkins from the farming community and they are not only huge but cheap. If you live in the city, I would assume you can buy one in an area that has a "farmer's market" where you can buy bulk produce.

Pumpkins will not be cheap in many areas this year due to the poor crop. Try your local farmers co-op or roadside vendors if you have them in your area. In some places you can pick your own depending on where you live and if there grown in your area

Best, cheapest ones I find at pumpkin patches.
For my Halloween parties, I carve a letter into each one to spell out a theme (for example, I carved "VOMIT" and it got a fair bit of attention), and put a candle into each and place high above in your place where everyone can see them.

Depends on where you live. We have big pumpkin farms here and you can go directly to them and buy pumpkins.
