You can go to a dog trainer.
the dog trainer will probably suggest "training disks".
Training Disks are a great training tool to get your dog to stop barking, jumping up, jumping up on counters, chewing on furnature.....
Good luck

Bitter spray is usually only a short time cure for chewing. Go to petsmart and buy him some pig ears or hoof chews. When you catch him chewing on something he isn't suppose to give I'm a correction by say ( His name and NO) with a stern voice with out yelling and replace it with a proper chewy and after a while he will realize what he is permitted to chew on and what he is not.

Being a year old, they should stop very soon. Lay out lots of chew toys. My grandmaw put, she actullay put hot pepper sauce on the things the dogs chewed on most. (the furniture) they chewed the most. Zoey, the pup remembered the burning the next time she was tempted to chew on something. Lay out chew toys, and put something hot, or spicy on the furniture so the dogs won't chew on it. It should only take the dogs about 1 or 2 times to learn thats off limits.
GOOD LUCK!!!! HOPED THIS HELPED!!!!

Make sure they have plenty of chew toys however if you give them chew toys made of fabric, yarn, cotten they may think its okay to chew on other things made of fabric. When you catch them chewing on the furniture immediately stop them tell them NO and give them something appropriate to chew on. It will take patience but it should work if you are consistant.
