LOL, No. I think a lot of people would LIKE to think that though....

Actually, now that I really think about it....my life REALLY sucked when I was "Christian".

Whether or not a person believe in God does not mean that they are going to have more traumatic things happen to them. God loves all of His Children. Even the ones who deny Him. We are all going to go though a few fires in our lives. Knowing that there is a God gets us through it. We may have a few burned spots and some bruises but the fire will not consume us and we come out hopefully drawing closer to God.

Personally, I had way more terrible things happen to me before I became a devout Christian. Things were thrown at me everyday until I was broken down enough to start praying, then reading, eventually church. Now I am happier than ever. I feel that everything is for a reason, but honestly to think that people are punished for not just being a believer, I doubt. But, same reasoning behind why I was an angry atheist until I found God. I needed him.

I believe that God knows how to bring a person to their knees. There is a millionare in my city, he is an inventor, and his house burned to the ground. There was something like a faulty wire under his refrigerator. What are the chances of that happening? I just recently lost my husband and became a single mother of 5 children. I asked my local church for financial help and they told me that they "didn't help people like me", so I stopped attending. The next week they held a huge block party to try to get more parishioners to join the church and God flooded the whole party. We have never had a flood in the history of our city! Isn't He AWESOME?

No. Many atheists do not have such traumatic experiences, but some do. It does not matter what religion you are; some people will undergo traumatic times in their lives. It's just part of life on the earth.

what makes you think that the lives' of people who don't believe in god are any more traumatic than those that do believe ?

There is no rhyme nor reason to it. Sometimes a person can be just as rotten as can be and nothing ever happens to them and then someone else can just be perfect and have the most awful things happen to them and then again it can all be reversed and you'd swear the opposite were true. The Psalms are full of this question

That is a terrible thing to say, now you are blaming their tragedies on not believing in your God or your religion. I hope these things never happen to you, because believe me...the people I have lost were Christians and if I thought for one minute that they suffered and died because I was a non-believer...I would slam religion with my last breath.

Nope...sometimes I think they have easier lives, its God's children who get tested not the non-beleiver. That doesn't mean God doesn't love them either.

No. The enemy attacks Christians with great ferocity.

Bad stuff happens to everyone. Know Christ provides peace and comfort in difficult situations, and reminds us to rejoice in the best situations.

Nope. The rain falls on the just and the unjust.

Christians just have somewhere to turn when the going gets tough...
