How do I talk to him?

When I'm with him I get really shy, and that's not like me, also I feel like there is nothing I could say, he's funny and outgoing, I just sit on the sidelines, What are some things I could talk to him about, or how do I make it more obvious I like him, should I just ask him if he likes me, or is that too risky...see I have no clue here! we were so cool at homecoming, we slow danced, and now I'm shy, any advice?

Well, you could drop some subtle hints. Guys like to hear their name. So don't just say "hi". Say "hi Rob" (or whatever his name is).

Or if you want to be more obvious you could just tell him you like him. Or if that's too hard to do in person, you could always tell him by email. That might be a little easier.

You are fine the way you are as of now. Here are the parts of speech:
1) Ask questions to start a topic that you are familiar with.
2) Talk about how you FEEL (emotion) about the topic.
3) Hint at him that you like him by complimenting him or talking about things that relate to love.
4) If too shy, just talk about everyday things. In fact, you don't have to talk at ALL, since he's so outgoing. Just make sure you are positive about everything, and is a good listener.
Asking him out isn't a risk at all; it's not asking him out and feeling helpless, that is the real risk. Conquer your fears, and you will love it.
