are you at least capable of 'faking' some interest in others? Or are you disinterested and incapable of even putting on a little show?

i find myself kinda disintertested in others welfare and less and less capable of even passable faking - what becomes of narcissiists and selfish people like that? Lonely? isolated? Banished to a desert island?

I am genuinely and keenly interested in others' lives, especially their bedroom habits, grocery lists, and how most of them live with themselves.

As for what happens to those people who have no interest in others, they usually run for Congress.

Yes I am generally interested in others' lives, especially if I consider them a friend. At times there's acquaintances I talk with who seem to go on and on about themselves and talk about things I don't particularly have interest in, but honestly the respectable thing to do is at least try to listen to them, eye contact, smile. Offer some advice if you have expertise in that area, OR don't - I don't feel that you're obligated to necessarily give input. Sometimes people just want someone to listen because maybe nobody else in their life will. I'd want the same respect back, also.

I have spent half my life working with the public, instead of being in a little office by myself. So, either I am a glutton for punishment or I really like people.

I am quite the humanitarian. Some call me the Mother Theresa of Kentucky. Well, Father Earl of Kentucky. My name is not Theresa. Nor am I a mother.
