Adding some crap.
Weed does not kill brain cells.
Its the Carbon monoxide, anything you burn will release Carbon monoxide which does kill brian cells.

As well as much research has been conducted proven that its not addictive. Well has an ingrediant that incourages addictiveness. LIke everything....you can become addictive but from your own freewill.

I've read some answers that i agree with. A lot of you assholes posting though seem to know about as much as George Bush does about running America. Nil.

It's bad for your lungs.

It doesn't really pose a big threat. If youre under 21 you can lose on average 8 iq points, but this doesn't apply for people who are 21+. Also if you smoke weed it can pose little threat to lungs. I have been smoking weed since I was 14 and I am now 41. I graduated high school and university, I am now a professor at a university and I am writing a book about LSD. Weed never made me not want to achieve my goals or anything. One thing I am not sure of, is if I developed a depersonalization disorder from weed or not. Although I do remember feeling this way a couple times when I was little.

You don't "need" to stop smoking weed. As long as you don't become dependent on it to be happy, or sleep, or eat etc. then there is no problem. And weed is an inhalant, your lungs aren't designed to inhale smoke. But if you're smoking from glass you don't need to worry about your lungs too much. And then the little things you can notice on your own, such as memory. Other than that, there really isn't much more negative things. The only argument people ever have on weed is that it's a "gateway drug". That is simply based on your personality. It's not an evil drug that influences you to try cocaine. That's all your mind.

Well there has been studies linking smoking weed to physiological problems, especially if you smoke regularly.

I can certainly agree with this, my sister's ex smoked one everyday and he had a mental breakdown had had to be institutionalized. Now he also wasn't a very good bf, lazy, smoking all the time.

Unlike alcohol the effects are cumulative. In addition, since you can get high off the smoke you are placing those around you to the same risks, that's basically why I never want to see someone walking down the street smoking it.

A friend of mine here in University started smoking regularly, just for fun. He grades dropped and he soon dropped out, now, he was a great guy, not the kind to drop out.

But that's mine opinion, everyone has the right to do what they please but if you take a risk like that, don't expose others to it and respect others if they say no.

I smoked alot of pot in high school and college, so this is my angle. I don't do it anymore, because it really slowed me down mentally. I was an honor student in high school and was in all regents classes, went to college (for engineering) and didn't realize how friggin' lazy I was. Started failing classes-in a private school $$$, dropped out, luckily landed a great job and moved away from home (for work), stopped smoking pot and now I talk to my old friends and they are underachievers! Still smoking pot!!! There is no way they could achieve what I did-just because they smoke pot so much and really have nothing going on and they don't realize how lazy they are. I've seen them at weddings, etc. and there is nothing going on in their lives. I vacation in the Caribbean twice per year, because I am focused and worked my way up the ladder. (You have to achieve that to make real money) and they barely make their rent. I really hate to say this, but smoking pot makes more sense than smoking cigarettes, but don't do either if you want to live a successful-long life. I'll leave the cigarettes rant for another day.

Well, I know it's not psychologicaly addictive, but it CAN be physically addictive. It does depend on the person, because everybodies body is different and will react differently. As for it killing brain cells, you've been very misinformed. Research has shown that IT DOES KILL BRAIN CELLS!

It is illegal (jail is not pleasant)

It's bad for your lungs. Just as bad as cigarettes, because the sticky substance that is in weed gets into the fine hairs at the bottom of your lungs and that interferes with the full function of your lungs!

You lose your short-term memory!

If you are into smoking weed while driving it has the same effects of drinking and driving. It slows your reaction time down. Do you want to find that you've killed somebody while smoking and driving or one of your own family? Much less yourself!

It lowers your self-esteem!

It makes you LAZY and creates the feeling that nothing else matters but to just get stoned!

It also makes you forget your dreams and goals and prettty soon theyre just gone!

And for all the other reasons that have been listed on this thread.

It's not worth it man!

The only down-side to smoking weed is that some bored, quota-seeking cop is going to do his best to bust you so that he fills his drug quota and doesn't have to risk anything by going after all the crack-heads that are hurting people.

It's not addictive. It doesn't fund terrorism. It isn't a "gateway drug" -- god, I'm so sick of the haters.
