the person that told you earlier that food doesn't turn into fat...only fat does...so quit eating fat...doesn't know what the hell they're talking about. your body can store any macro-nutrient as fat. that means protein, carbs, and fats can all be stored as fat...it all depends on the circumstances. And as a side note...your body is composed of billions of cells...each has a cell membrane made up of a lipid (fat) bi-layer. in order for the cells of your body to function properly you need to eat healthy fats on a daily basis so these cell membranes can properly regenerate. but back to the food/fat issue...the basic scenario is...if you consume more calories than you burn you're going to gain weight. however...high insulin levels in the blood cause the body to store the majority of calories ingested as fat...which means that a diet high in refined sugars will cause a person to gain large amounts of weight. that's why fat-free foods are misleading. they are usually high in sugar and calories and will cause your insulin levels to spike and your body to store calories as fat. also your body can only use so much food at one time for energy so if you eat in excess, then it will store what it doesn't need immediately as fat.

one pound= 3500 calories. I believe you have a wrong idea of calories and energy and how " fat" we all are.

Not all food turns straight into fat. Even complex carbohydrates do not turn straight into fat. It is just the AMOUNT of calories that makes people gain extra poundage.
For example: A teenage girl needs approximately 2200-2400 calories a day (if exercising on a reg basis) to keep and maintain a healthy weight. If she eats that amount, she will not gain nor lose poundage (with the exception that she eats just pure junk food), if she eats extra calories every day for a certain period of time, she will EVENTUALLY gain extra weight (seeing that she ate only a few hundred extra calories). If she, however, at about 5000 calories in one day, she will gain some weight. So, to answer your question.....If you ate just that pizza all day (one large cheese pizza at dominoes equals about 2400 calories) no, you will not gain any weight at all.....your body will use up the calories......

When you mix carbohydrates with fat, as you did in the example above, the carbs signal the body to store the fat. So yes, you would likely have the fat in the pizza stored in your body when you wake up.

Now, if you wake up and go run for 1/2 hour, you might get your body to tap some of that fat for energy.

The fat will be converted almost immediately, the protein will be used slowly, and the carbs will be stored for about half a day. All in all, the entire pizza will have been either used for energy or turned to body fat in about a day.

Fat doesn't make you fatter, it is the amount of calories that do.

Remember that 3500 calories is 1 pound of real body fat. That means if you STORE 3500 calories (you don't burn it off) it'll turn into 1 pound of fat.

The same is with losing weight.
