Yes! (I never did before, but my boyfriend is a meat 'n potatoes kind of guy, so I accomodate.) In fact, we just enjoyed them like this:
Three or four medium-sized potatoes
Italian dressing
Lawry's Seasoned Salt, or just plain ol' salt 'n peppa
Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Farenheit, or about 218 Celcius
Slice those taters into thin wedges. The larger the wedge, the longer the cook time. Toss them in a bowl with the Italian dressing, then place in a single layer in a large pan. Place in the oven, turning from time to time, as you see fit. I cook mine just until the thinnest part on the wedge starts to brown, about 40 mins. You can finish with the seasoned salt, and put on a plate lined with paper towels. Dip in ranch dressing or ketchup, if you must. ; )

Between the ages of 15 and 18 I think I ate a jacket potato, cheese and beans for tea almost every night. My mum didn't know how to deal with vegetarians ;-)
Now I don't eat wheat and my main source of savoury carbs are potatoes.
