hi! Is there anyone from Sychelles (or near Sychelles) who can answer this question? I m Chinese and it is taboo to give clocks as presents as they signify death!! :P But i have bought a very cute and pretty clock and would like to give it to a girlfriend from Sychelles.

Yes, it is okay to give a person from Seychelles a clock as a birthday present--and very thoughtful if there is a meaning behind it. One of the most famous landmarks in Seychelles is the famous clock tower in the capital centre of Victoria.
