Her litter box is alway kept clean, we've changed litters as well. She goes in the basement, on clothes, in laundry baskets. We can't take it!!! My male is fine! Both have been fixed..

Has anything traumatic happened? My cat stopped using the litterbox when I moved out and went to college.

If not, there is a good chance she has a bladder infection. I would suggest you take her to the vet and get it checked out.

Oh yes, I meant to tell you also that if the bladder infection ends up not being the cause, get in contact with me and I can share with you what my parents did to help my cat start using the litter box again. It will take patience and a lot of work to fix if she is just upset, but my parents are not having any problems with her anymore!!!

Even though both of your cats are fixed, that does not mean that she will not still want to mark her territory. She might feel a little invaded with the male cat there, so she will urinate anywhere she wants the male not to be at which is going to be all around your house because she wants the male to know that your house is her house and he is not welcome. It sounds kinda crazy, but the girl is a bossy one and the male just doesn't care. I had 10 cats all at one time and I started to learn a lot about them and why they do certain things.

Could be UTI. Urinary Tract Infection. Also, it could be she is VERY upset about something. The only reason I know of this is because my female cat did this at the age of about 6 yrs old. My husband (at the time, now my ex) just walked out & never came back. This obviously was very disturbing to her as she NEVER did it until he left. Never-the-less I had to end up giving her away to a family who lived on a farm.

Take her to the vet and see if she has a urinary tract problem. Be sure to clean everywhere she urinates well, and cover it up with whatever will best cover it so she won't smell it and think its okay to go there.

She VERY well could have a bladder infection - that is how they act out to show you they are in pain. Please make sure to take her to the vet and get her checked out for medical problems which could very well be the case!
