I know this sounds funny, but here it goes.

My doggie is now 1 year and 2 months old, he is a male cocker spaniel. Yesterday I noticed that his ...balls kinda dropped down. They weren't visible before but now they hang down between his legs!

He doesn't hurt, he is happy and playfull, pees, eats normally and everything, he is just a bit snugglier than usuall.

Does this happen when a male dog matures? Or should I worry about that? Any advice?

His testicles have dropped. Yes that is very normal in a male dog who has not been neutered. I would suggest getting him neutered soon so that you don't have certain behavior problems, such as humping and slight aggression/dominance towards other dogs. Also, you will need to MAKE SURE to keep an eye on him at all times. A male dog can smell a female in heat from miles away, and if he gets a whiff of a beautiful girl, he will take off. They do whatever they can to get to a female in heat, including getting aggressive and tearing things up (screen doors, fences, etc etc)

I'm not saying this stuff will happen...but the chances are high that they will.

Added Note:
gotslayer, I am sorry to tell you that you are wrong. I can send you pictures of my dog if you want the proof. The dog that will run for hours at the dog park, come home, and run hours more playing fetch. Dogs do not "get fat and lazy" because of being neutered. Normally they DO become more laid back and less aggressive, but not lazy.

I'm with Nick, get him fixed. A neutered dog is less likely to run off, make unwanted puppies and less likely to develop cancer.
