If you can get your hands on an NIV Study Bible, they have an artist's rendition of the statue made of the various elements (gold, silver, bronze, etc). Although not the one Nebuchadnezzar made, he was likely inspired by Daniel's interpretation of his dream when he made it.

The idol was very tall and no doubt looked like King Nebuchadnezzar. I'd say 60 to 80 feet tall. It was made of gold and the statue had the arms folded on it. The King had a crown on it too. Make sure you put an angel in the fiery furnace with the 3 boys because that is what God sent to them for protection from the heat. Don't forget that the 3 boys would have obeyed their God Jehovah above all else and would have rather died than bow down to a false idol.

Based on the two links below, the idol Moloch apparently looks like a man with a bull's head. The two images I found are pretty imposing; I believe the image was supposed to be made of gold. Appropriate to the kids' age, of course, you want it to look evil and strange but not as powerful as God. Maybe you could do something to make it look a little pathetic too; maybe lopsided or dented, or broken teeth, or sad.

first remember the size of the idol all you need for this is a drawing of feet the height of the wall and in gold that is one corner of the room
another can be set up as the throne of king Nebecanezer

and another corner the furness show the door and the inside with the fire

and have fun (oh this sound like such fun!)

Heres what you do, set the place on fire (for realism) and then put it out before the whole building burns down and voila!!!

With regard to the statue Im afraid youre just going to have to find a real 90ft golden statue. That just cant be substituted!

Leave out the idol bring the focus to the 4th person in the fire, the deliverance of God.

I think you can get a reasonable idea of the statue from Dn2,32-33.
