Or will you recover?

You can recover. I don't think the damage is permanent unless you seriously rip a muscle. In either case, that is usually caused by lifting more than you can handle.

Most often, when you overtrain, you'll just sacrifice your goals. You'll be more prone to minor injuries, you won't be fully recovered to steadily increase the amount of weight you use each time you work out, and ultimately you'll be bored and lose interest in working out because you won't make any gains.

Remember: you grow outside the gym, not at the gym. To reach your goals you have to schedule in rest time. All succsesful training programs incorporate that into their systems. It's tough, but don't fall into the trap of overtraining.

Good luck.

This can damage your muscles however with lots of rest your muscles should eventually recover. If you are exercising to stay fit damaging your muscles can be really bad as sometimes full rest is needed which will set back your weight (lifting) regime.

No you aren't at any more risk of injury, but you are at great risk of wasting your time.
