SERIOUSLY. How hard is it to click the little "check spelling" link after you type your question/answer? Please feel free to express your annoyances with me.

I was not complaining about the one or two little errors that people commonly make, such as "know" and "no". Obviously, I am talking about the gigantic spelling errors people make such as "that is totealliy aemazeing" or "you're addvice is reeley bad" Wow, if you can't spell the simplest words, go back to third grade please?

This is not a question, it's a complain.
As long as the question/answer is decent and somewhat understandable, who cares?
+ You have to keep in mind that there's a lot of 12 years old kids wasting their time on Yahoo!Answers, don't expect them to have a major in English!
If you can't understand a question, just skip it. That's all. If all you're going to post is "you can't write if your life depended on it", then just don't post anything at all...People ask for help on a specific subject, not for a free grammar lesson!
*And Jeffo, it is very hard to learn a new language, why are you being so mean to those who make the effort to learn (even though they make a couple of mistakes)??

there's a touch arrow on the accurate of your exhibit that would want to have the interest 'decrease back' next to it. in case you spot a 'mistake' you would opt to staggering, hit that ...you'll flow decrease back to the perfect exhibit, which might want to be the single with the 'verify spelling' determination and the 'writing sq.' ... make your corrections, verify your spelling, then hit the 'preview' button ... verify back, then hit the 'put up' button and your question might want to be 'solid to flow.' And thanks for asking this question. I desire extra human beings took the little or no time it takes to 'verify each and every thing' ... yet some anybody is slightly below 'way too a lot pressure' or are 'in a authentic hurry' to get an answer, so please be type at the same time as 'blunders' make their way onto the 'board' right here, too.

1. Spell check is not on target 100% of the time.
2. Also, by the looks of the spelling sometimes, it appears that the person may be dyslexic.
3. Some, because of sentence structure and spelling, may be foreign and trying their hardest to communicate. You have to give people a leeway or learning curve. It's not that easy.
4. For the lazy, that's life the way they experience it.
Good Luck with Warm Wishes.

Because, when I was in school we had a subject called spelling. I take great pride that I can spell better than most and if I'm not sure to look in either a dictionary or another form of reference. Spell checker does not understand the difference of such things as no and know or right and rite, so to me it is still useless.

Oh, Man!
It is so frustrating to see questions where people say things like:
"Why isthat when I called stupid?"
or when they insist on making a comment and then put a question mark at the end, like:
"I hate America?"
The most frustrating. Then you answer with a comment like "please check your spelling" and they lose it on you. Panic attack. Like our inability to read their illegible dribble is a form of racism.
I don't go on websites with languages that I don't speak and make insane political statements. If I did, I wouldn't expect everyone to understand, tolerate or agree with me. It's the land of the free, not the psychic.
AngelofClarity ---to answer your queston, "clarity" is important. Much of what's on these boards is incomprehensible. I would not take offense to your grammar. It is not perfect but it is understandable. I often visit political/religous areas on here and people with little or no english skills bash America or religions they don't like. I would even be okay with that if they were to show an adequate knowledge of the subject by communicating in some form of english. You are more interested in society and relationship questions. Do what you want on those.

I agree with you 100%. It isn't really all that hard to use the "Spell Check" But then again the "Spell Check" doesn't always catch on to all mistakes.

Same reason some people forget to use Capital Letters to begin sentences. Actually, this spellchecker is disgusting - way too many oddities with it and mistakes!

Sarah, you are absolutely right. I am all for abbreviations but goodness gracious people please use spell check. What makes things worst is that most of the words that they spell wrong, most people should have learned how to spell in elementary school.

Why did you begin a sentence with a lower case letter?
Do you understand what I am saying?
