well, just because she doesn't let you do those things without her permission doesn't mean you should leave your stuff all over the house.

First of all how old are you? I see no reason why she shouldn'r be letting you do all of that stuff if she's allowing you to be on the internet. And tell her it in a nice way why you wanna do that stuff don't say its cuz you're a total slob...say something along the lines of I know you are really busy and all and I would like to do my part because I live here. Maybe she will go for that. Good Luck!

Why don't you just tell her you are going to clean and it would be cool if she helped you and then that way she don't say you didn't ask her I think it is very embarrassing to have a dirty home and if you have unexpected guess you could be put in a predicament. Maybe you should have someone come over and comment on the house. Maybe then she will open her eyes!

She may be possibly going through a depressive state, maybe menopause?? Talk to her about how she makes you feel and how she is very confusing. Explain to her that you would like to pick up after yourself and clean your messes. Even hug her. I know that sounds weird but if she looks like she might flip out, go over to her and just hug her. You don't have to tell her anything, just give her a hug. This will not only surprise her but make her feel better. Then maybe she will start laying off of you.

my dad is exactly like that. i cant use anything in the house without permission cuz hes scared that im gonna like..burn down or blow up the house er something. i guess you can talk to her about it. tell her that if shes telling you to do something, she should listen to her own advice as well. if you cant talk back to your mom...then really all you can do is take it and wait until you get to move out of your house.

Sit down & have a talk with her.......ask her why she wouldn't want your help unless you ask her. I would think she would accept your help with open arms, but maybe she feels like she is suppose to be the one doing it. Catch 22 for you. Just make sure you keep your things picked up & you might ask her if she wants to make a weekly list for things she would want you to do.

Cry...thats what I do. Just kidding. Try to explain yourself to her and try to help her to understand where you are coming from (Respectfully) she will listen better if you are very sweet.
