A lot of attention has been given in today's marketing about mental health, with some companies going so far as to offer an ocassional "mental health day." Because we live in a society running over with people on mental health medications, it could be the industry's way of finding out your issues. Since they cannot legally ask about disabilities, interviewers have creative ways of finding out an interviewee's quirks. Also, since one would be exposed to working in various situations, they want to know if the candidate is a "team" player. (a word that has way, way overbuzzed, in my opinion) . Most marketing efforts are interested in the "bottom line", not you as an individual. You can turn that around by reading job search related handbooks, convenient in your local library. These days, a candidate needs to be able to anticipate the inner thinking and interview styles as
serious preparation of a job search. Also, the "behavioral" business is a barometer for how you may fit their organization's current employee pool. Hope this is helpful.

Behavioral questions are important to any employer as it helps them to verify if you are the type of person to become a threat to them and their employees. This is even more important in today's world, with all of the unrest and upset. Trying to gage a persons state of mind during the initial interviews is imperative to all concerned. This may be sad, but true. Good luck in your job search. The best I can tell you is to be honest and straightforward. Have a good night!

Since I assume you are looking for a job in the educational field, educators are considered about the behavior of new hires. Last thing, schools want is calls from angry parents. The underlining guess to your problem, from my experience in the educational field, is that teacher's are control freaks. They want to see if they could control you, and to see if you would listen to any advise they suggest. Teachers are a breed apart, for them the school is their universe, and the classrooms are their planets. They want to control everything. So obey and smile. Remember they are always right and they know it all.

I'm not sure what you mean, but maybe a lot of the companies you applied to have had problems with "unstable" employees
