I told her to shut the F up or I'd slap the crap out of her. She was talking while a Soprano rerun was on and wouldn't shut up. I warned her a few times and I was drinking. I shut her up finally by putting her in her place as promised. I think this is consent, I told the stupid cop. Plus I think she may have been drunk. There should be no crime. Its the same as if a guy goes speeding in his car and gets a ticket. He knows it could happen when he does it so he can't complain. Anyone get off this way?

Honestly that is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. So you think that if a person gave you plenty of warning that they're going to kill you that it would be consensual and therefore be ok? I mean honestly it was just a tv show and as you stated a rerun so most likely would be on again at some point or another so there really wasn't a good reason to even get pissed. As for you being drunk and her possibly being drunk that's a stupid excuse also. If you can't handle you liquor don't drink. I hope that you not only get charged for domestic abuse and/or assult and battery but also that your girlfriend is smart enough to leave your abusive *** because you obviously don't deserve to have a significant other. One day you'll end up seeing how it feels to be in the same place that you put your girlfriend because if you continue to do stupid **** like that you will be put in jail, then prison and then you'll probably end up being someone's ***** and get slapped around too...but don't worry they'll warn so it'll be consensual.

She is not breaking the law by continuing to talk. You and your fictional friend that got the speeding ticket make a conscious choice to break the law. BTW: You think it is irritating at home when someone is talking while the TV is on, wait til you get to jail, which is where you apparently need to be for awhile.
