People from Hawaii vacation everywhere. Sometimes we stay home - my last vacation was a "stay cation" at a B&B in Lanikai & it was wonderful! We also go to Disneyland, to Europe, to the East Coast, the Grand Canyon, but more than anywhere we go to Las Vegas. Some folks go several times a year. Gambling is a favorite pass time & is not legal in Hawaii. People tend to stay downtown, rather than on the strip. Several hotels there are known for catering to local people, featuring local foods. When UH plays UNLV, the UH fans can actually outnumber the Las Vegas folks in the stands. Some folks will go to Vegas on any excuse.
