Pros: it is a basic, fairly dependable car. Parts are reasonable, maintenance is also reasonable.
Cons: not the best built car on the roads, about as exciting as driving a postal truck and used ones can be real beaters unless they have a maintenance history.

Cavaliers are nice, affordable cars. But much of the technology used in it are ancient, albeit reliable. Expect a noisy engine, high road noise/wind noise and low mpg.
My fist car was a Cavalier Z24. I thought it was the coolest.
It had V6, body kits, fully loaded..... loved it. It rattled like crazy and was noisy from the engine/wind, but was reliable until I sold it at 120k miles.
Several years later, I rented a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire (clone of Cavalier) and it was awful. My father commented that it looked like a toy due to all the cheap paper/plastic material used inside. And the craftsmanship was horrible. You can hear wind wheezing inside like a helicopter because the rear window wouldn't close all the way.
My Z24 was far superior to that crap.

I have a 96 Chevy cavalier z24 and it has almost 200,000 miles on it and still running great. It's the best Lil car that I've ever had. Good gas mileage too.

My previous car was a two-door Cavalier and my present one is a four-door Cavalier. I love it. The only problem I have had with it is the head gasket. For a small car it is a wonderful car.

very solid fee, notwithstanding the Cavalier isn't an fairly solid solid vehicle. it is an get entry to point vehicle from Chevy. i might want to flow both the Toyota or the Honda in case you want to have the vehicle for awhile and do not opt to fulfill diverse mechanics.

Nope they are pretty unreliable, and a buddy of mine owned one and it was gutless. Get a honda accord or civic if you can, they have great power and the reliability is legendary. My accord is at 234,000 miles and runs so smooth, and doesnt burn any oil. Go import, theyre way better all the veteran tech think so too.

they are basic transportation that shouldn't cost a bunch. As long as you don't get saddled with payments, you should be fine.
If you HAVE to finance it, do it for as short a time as you can possibly afford.
