Newly diagnosed, my 10 year old son is interested in more information. He wants to make a presentation to his classmates to inform them on his condition and increase the awareness in his school. He is also looking for some basics on his condition and would like to know what books he should check into. If you are familiar with this and have read some books, I would like to hear from you.

Nina, I have TS and so does my 7 year old daughter. There is a book called ," I am Adam". If you go to Amazon, they will recommend tons of books. Check out the website wemove.com it has a support group. I have made a great friend on there. Get your son's school involved. Ask about a section 504 if you haven't already, they will make accomodations for him. I wish him luck and love and keep his self esteem high. Give him the language to tell kids when they ask stupid questions like, "What's wrong with you?" My daughter says, "It's just a tic. No big deal." and the kids say OH and go away. be brave, and strong. I'm 33 and have been this way since 12. Life is still good and happy and productive. Let him read this. Let him know that he is excellent and has a gift. He is special because he can do so many things at the same time. It will get better and worse, enjoy the ups. Be well.

Those were the best one's I found when I was doing research for my former step-daughter. The Tourettes Disorder website listed as my source has several books listed, all of which are available on Amazon.
Hope this helps.
