All of these people on here asking for ways to make themselves have a miscarriage, am I wrong that it is just as bad as having an abortion? Do these people, who I don't think are just teens, realize that their are consequences to having sex? Don't they still have sex education in school? And if parents don't want to talk to their kids about sex and what happens if you have it, why aren't they learning it in school? I mean NO ONE can be this stupid, it is common sense that if you have sex you could get pregnant, Right?

I agree that yes its the same thing but that is why I don't think abortion should be banned. These women or young girls do not want the baby, otherwise they wouldn't want to have a "miscarriage" but they are probably too embarrassed to go have an abortion because of the way people judge. I had an abortion and I regret and I would hope that other women wouldn't make the same mistake I did but if she doesn't want the baby a lot of time she will find a way to get rid of it so I would rather it be done in the proper environment so that they don't end up hurting themselves. Like you said these girls are young and young people don't always think before they act, sometimes they are even scared, they need a place to have it done instead of harming themselves.
Go ahead and judge me now, I don't care. I did make the mistake and living with that is more painful than anything anyone can ever say, do or think about me.

Yes, inducing a miscarriage is the same as having an abortion. Infact, there's such things as a chemical or medical abortion which is simply an induced miscarriage.

There are other issues going on that would make women want to have their abortions done at home instead of in clinics. I'll blame the anti-choicers. The pro-life movement is dangerous and hurtful to these women. Just google abortion and compare the information from the pro-life sites with the information you get from planned parenthood about abortion. Women are being scared away from their right to choose and many of them unfortunately think that inducing miscarriage at home is going to make it safer.

I'm offended that you assume that anyone who gets pregnant and doesn't want to be is stupid. Surely, you must realise that sex is not just about procreation. Abortion is a consequence to having sex and not an easy situation. It's true though many teens don't have proper sexual education. They get abstinence education. That's what I had. Basically, "don't have sex or you'll get pregnant or die from syphillus" nothing about birth control or abortion or that syphillus is easily cured. They simply don't know the facts.

Parents don't want to talk to their kids about sex because they think that will give them permission to have sex. The truth is it's age appropriate and natural and they'll do it with or without permission or information.

I know, I don't understand it either. And as for people asking how to induce a miscarriage, that is just sick. Like what are they too cheap to pay for an abortion? It is exactly the same thing, except that it's worse because they could kill themselves in the process!

It's pretty sad after all these years, all the info we get, the places that provide free condoms, and people are still CHOOSING to be stupid and irresponsible, " I can't believe it happened to me". I mean you can even walk into a drugstore and buy the morning after pill! It doesn't get much easier than that!!!

I am for abortion for the following reasons

1. If something bad was wrong with the baby and it would live a terrible life

2.If the mother was raped or just way too young to have a baby

3.If the mothers life is in danger to carry the fetus

I haven't had an abortion but if the above things happened to me i would have one. It is every woman's right to choose and god forbid that we ever have to walk a mile in their shoes then you really might know what it's like to have to choose.

Everyone should know that having sex without using birth control (male and female) will result in pregnancy.

I agree that someone that is pregnant and trying to make themselves lose the baby yea it is the same as an abortion.

I have had a miscarriage myself and it was a horrible thing for me to go through--Body and mind--

When you are young you do fall for those lines from boys "I won't get you pregnant or i will pull out and everything will be alright"
But i didn't, when i was 16 i went to the doctor myself and got put on birth control....

Well, with our current administration under George Bush, alot of public schools are only teaching abstinence-only curriculums for sex ed. They are not allowed to talk about birth control or other means of sexual stimulation besides intercourse (including masturbation!). Basically, the message is that sex is something that should be avoided till marriage - end of story. The idea is that teaching safe sex will increase teen pregnancy, disease and abortion.
However, it has come to light that places that teach abstinence only have greatly increased rates of teen pregnancy. The documentary "The Education of Shelby Knox" about a teen girl in Texas explores this beautifully (and it's rated PG - don't worry!)
I think everyone should watch it.

Although many people feel parents should be responsible for teaching their kids about sex, it's not guaranteed that they will or that they'll give their kids healthy or helpful messages. It's also not guaranteed that the parent's info will be accurate, and let's face it - kids are curious and will seek out their own information through experience if they're not provided with answers to their questions!

Please, get involved with your public school system's sex committee if you would like to see a decrease in unhealthy teen sexual practices and teen pregnancy!

i totally agree with what beautiful said
sometimes, there are conditions where abortion is definitely the best answer, the rape example or if it harms the mother in any way. as for people trying to induce abortions, that is just wrong.
however there are people saying that pregnancy is no way preventable, however, using a condom and birthcontrol pill gives you 99% chance of not becoming pregnant and although there is still a 1% chance, the people are being responsible if using both ... so dont be so hard on them, my friend is 24 and she got pregnant when using birth control and a condom, these things happen, but she kept the baby and they are both happy and healthy

i quite agree with you if they want to have a miscarriage then they should go and have an abortion i don't believe in abortion really i think that people who get pregnant and want to end it are not taking precautions i think its a funny question to ask as so many people have different views and its daft that people get pregnant and ask for our advice i would not come on here and ask about how to miscarry because your going to get stupid replys

You are absolutely right, I hate to hear the fact that people are using abortions as birth control, it breaks my heart there are so many couples out there that can't conceive for some reason or another and would be happy to raise that baby as their own, but instead they murder(that is what I call it cause that is what it is) there unborn child...These couples think of the consequences after and unfortunately the baby suffers.

Well, the big problem is that we live in a society that wants everything NOW without realizing the circumstances. I want sex......NOW, I have to have that Plasma TV......NOW, I want to go on that vacation......NOW! No one cares about consequences any more! No matter how many bad results come from pre-marital (or post-marital without preparation) sex, people still don't care. They would rather create a kid and subject him/her to a terrible life or ever death (abortion), then abstain from one night of pleasure. It doesn't matter if your Christian/Non-Christian, Republican/Democrat, having pre-marital sex or post marital sex without preparation is ENTIRELY selfish, self serving, and wrong!

BRAVO!!! Wonderfully put.

Abortion is killing of a helpless child no matter what way you look at it. And those that are looking for ways to make themselves miscarry are doing just that, killing an unborn, innocent child...

I agree, who the hell is teaching kids about sex and the consequences these days???
