TIm Sylvia trains with the Miletich camp and they are tough, his ground game may not be great, but he's a great striker and he has a long reach advantage. I think he would be stronger than Fedor. I'm a fan of both fighters, but Fedor's also strong and quicker. I think Fedor would have to win by a rear naked choke, but if he tries to strike with Tim, he's getting knocked out. We will have to wait and see, if Tim gets by Monson, Tim will probably call out Fedor, he's called out Pride Fighters before.

There is no question that Fedor would decimate Sylvia. There is a real dearth of heavyweight talent in the UFC, as shown by the excessive number of rematches. There are only really two heavyweight contenders if the UFC: Arlovski and Sylvia. Pride has many more: Crocop, the Emelianenko brothers, Noguerra (sp), Mark Hunt, and others. Any one of them could crush Sylvia. If Sylvia fought Fedor it would be almost as bad as Fedor's fight against Zulu (quick KO).

Yes. Fedor would handle Silvia. As would CroCop, Minatauro Nogiera, Josh Barnett and Aleksander Emelianenko.
Furthermore, in response to Jimmy's answer: Mark Hunt wouldn't have a chance against Sylvia. They are the same kind of fighters - all standup with no ground game. The only exception is that Hunt is slower, fatter, shorter and at about an 8" reach disadvantage.
Also, watch out for Cheick Kongo, he'll be pissed off after that total screw up of a decision in his last fight, and looking to wreak havoc on the UFC heavyweights.

Fedor is an absolute monster and machine, he would totally destroy Tim Silvia. Tim wouldn't stand a chance against Fedor, whose standup and ground game is way superior.

At this point in time Fedor is the most dominant MMA fighter ever. It is hard to think of anyone who would be favored over him. I don't even see Silvia as being in his class.

pound for pound tim silvia is the least talented of all the title holders in the ufc. he is a mediocre talent who just happens to be a giant. his size gives him an unfair advantage. fedor is the real deal. its a fight i would love to see, just to watch fedor pick silvia apart with eaze

Fedor would destroy Silvia. Silvia isn't a very good fighter in my opinion, I can't believe he is a title holder.
