First, you have to tell us what kind of wax? Is is candle wax, car wax, ear wax, depilatory wax, floor wax? Each one might require a different approach. Because you indicate that it's in your hair, I assume that it's depilatory wax......perhaps a stray strand from waxing your eyebrows or upper lip? If so, I suggest plain old cold cream; work it well into the section and leave it overnight. What you also might want to do is re-warm it and apply an absorbent medium to attract & trap it. I once spilled warm depilitory wax on a linen tablecloth (yeah, a kitchen wax job!), I applied a piece of brown paper bag and ironed over it with a warm iron and it lifted right off. You might also want to try full strength "Downey" fabric softener. I'm trying to think of all the things we used to do in the beauty salon where I worked....sometimes we just had to do a but of "surgery" :( If it's another type of wax, please add details to your question so you have a better chance of getting a logical answer. Good luck.......WOW, talk about being 'stuck on you'!

do no longer use something to warmth the wax or your carpet, maximum carpets are made up of man made textile and could soften if overheated. in case you recognize the carpet is wool, you could attempt to soften the wax, yet once you do, it is going to easily wick further into the fibers, making a much bigger stain. then you opt for outstanding cleaners, turpentines, etc. right here's a plenty much less complicated technique: Take a bag of frozen peas or corn or ice cubes or an ice block and ice down the wax. Then use a lifeless knife (butter knife) to scrape off most of the wax. probability is, this might do away with maximum/all of it, because it in all probability wasn't all that warm and melty whilst it hit the carpet. Repeat till that's all or often scraped off. If there are nevertheless little bits which you won't be able to do away with, i might judiciously decrease the carpet to do away with those bits. It probable won't tutor, till you have have been given Berber (closed loops) carpet.

Baby oil should totally work! You just need to then use your fingernails to pull/scrape it out down the shaft of the hair.... I've gotten it in my hair before and that's what I do. They do sell "wax removers" at Sally beauty supply though too that work well (I use them on my face because my face breaks out if I use baby oil.)

Use baby oil on a cotton ball. You have to rub a bit, but it works.
