he slides his butt on the floor from time 2 time. started his 1st time on real carpet. when i saw this i picked him up put him on the paper and he bm-ed . then when we got back to the apt. ( no carpet ) he did it again only from time 2 time though.

Yes this can be a sign of worms, or that he needs his anal glands expressed. As young as he is though, I would suspect worms.

Dane Lover is correct. Frankly , I'm surprised at how many people automatically think it's caused by worms. My first thought would be that the dog has impacted anal glands. If you don't know to express them, then I would suggest take the dog to a vet to show you the correct way to do it, do so that you don't hurt the dog or make it worse and possibly infect them.

Despite what people think this isn't usually a sign of worms. It is a sign of iritation..this can be caused by anal glands, fleas, allergies, etc..take him to the vet and get him checked out to determine the real cause.

i woult say he needs worming again what your saying sounds like worms. puppies can need worming often up untill 16 weeks of age. all puppies have worms. then twice a year from the age of 6months or up to 4 timmes a year if there working dogs. other symptons are really fat stomachs and the smell of them.

it has never been my experience that dogs scoot on rugs because they have worms, it is usually because they are trying to express their anal sacs. My recommendation would be: take your pet to the vet, have him/her check your pets anal glands, and have a stool checked for parasites, good luck.
