You can't prove, scientifically or philosophically, that anything doesn't exist. You can only prove that something DOES exist by recording and verifying some measure of its existence.
There is always an infinite amount of ways in which God could exist, so you can't disprove them all.
So neither the atheists nor the religious can win on this one... even if they could agree on a definition of God and a verifiable way in which his existence could be proved, the data would be still be open to interpretation, because what if God just decided not to show up that day?

In as much as I was not around to see how everything came into being (and neither were you),I say, "I don't know ..... YET!" To assume that some god, my less than intellectual ancestors made up, instantaneously farted the universe into being, is absurd
You cannot prove a negative assertion. If I said the third planet in the Alpha Proxima star system was covered with a three foot layer of French brie and told you to prove it wasn't, you would not be able to even though the assertion is ridiculous.

You can't prove a negative. What proof do you have that the Tooth fairy, Santa Claus, the boogeyman, or the Easter Bunny does not exist? Absent of the proof that they don't, do you believe each of those do physically exist? Of course not. So why apply one standard of proof to God, and another for the Easter Bunny?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to proove that "God" does not exist. The reason is, the concept of God is undefinable and always changing. Different religions and even different sects of the same religion have unique descriptions of god. An unbeliever never knows what to attempt to disprove.
Believers commonly say that their god is outside of space and time, while it is also everywhere. This description is impossible to refute because it is impossible to imagine.
This is why the burdon of proof must always be on the believer.

You can't prove a negative smart guy. Why not present the proof that he DOES exist? There are only hypothetical arguments for the existence of god. I have yet to see anything as promising as a sound theory for gods existence presented. It all tends to rest on conjecture and bad logic.

Better yet what is the proof that God does exist?
Lets keep it simple, can you hear him (and I am not talking about the crazy voices in your head), can you smell him, can you touch him?
And please don't reference the bible- a book written by man as some sort of evidence.
Anyone could right a book about the existence of glitkochians...carry the myth of glitkochians through the ages....that in itself does not prove that their was ever a glitkochians in existence but people can still believe in glitkochians!

The One True God exists and He is the Source of all existence.
Man knows God through God's divine Messengers.
People who deny God are not atheists, but they are idolaters, they worship false gods. No man is completely independent with no higher powers over him or next to him.

I believe in God, and even I know that it's impossible to prove the non-existence of something.
